Our Growing Little Girl

I had my ultrasound today to check Claire's growth to see if we would be meeting her on Monday(which was previously scheduled by my doc) or waiting a little longer. This little girl grew over a lb. in 3 weeks which was a huge jump since she wasn't growing in the normal range before. So..she is above the 10th percentile now (in between 10th-15th) so she isn't considered growth restricted anymore. She is borderline but b/c she is doing so well, there is no need to induce and get her out early. Great for her, she gets to cook some more...kinda hard to hear on my end b/c I was SO looking forward to Monday and not being pregnant anymore! Of course, we praise God that our little girl is growing better and doing great. I still have to go get monitored twice a week to make sure she is doing well and that my fluid stays in normal range. So, I guess we will meet her when SHE decides. Because she is borderline on her size and her blood pressure, they won't let me go past my due date (4/17) so...I can make it a couple more weeks! Maybe she'll be sweet and come before that! As for now, I'll try to wait patiently and enjoy my last couple weeks with just one child, our sweet little boy.

Claire Update

I'm gonna be a big brother!!!

So, I had an appointment with my OB today and I wasn't expecting her to schedule my induction for Claire!!! She said, let's go ahead and schedule it and then if she decides to grow and they want to keep her on the inside longer, then they can always change it. So, Monday the 29th at 9:30 is when I'm scheduled to go in! Wow, that is REALLY close and I am so excited. It's weird that I'm not going to just go into labor naturally like I did with Carson...weird to know THE DAY but exciting at the same time! I'm still getting monitored twice a week and have an ultrasound to see how she's growing next week. Here's how excited Carson and Olivia are to meet Claire...they are waiting patiently as I AM NOT! :)
We'll just have to put that saw away that Carson is holding, we don't want to lose any limbs right away!

Visit from Mom

It was so wonderful to have my mom here for a whole week! I think it might be just as helpful to come before the baby as right after. She is coming again after Claire comes, of course, but man, was it helpful! Having someone help pick up, cook, help with the kiddos and just hang out so I could run errands toddler-free was amazing! The day she left I found myself sitting down and forgetting to grab something and wanting to ask, "can you get that mom?" but there was no one there to grab it for me! :( Oh, the simple things that are SO extremely helpful when your body is in slow motion. She had a blast with Carson! Carson was trying to call her "grandma" which is what she prefers but he couldn't get that "gr" on there so he was calling her mamaw. It was so cute..he would pray for her when we would pray at meals and bedtime. After she left he woke up and asked where she was as he pointed to the room where she slept. Here are a couple pics from her time here including one from my baby shower that she was able to be at, which was great! This was so funny...he was getting a kick out of himself laughing so he kept FAKE laughing one night...we were in tears cracking up!

At my shower...it was a wonderful time with so many friends...and yes, my belly is getting BIG! I look like I might tip over! :)

Update on Claire....she is still measuring small, under the 10th percentile so...I go twice a week for them to monitor her heartbeat and oxygen flow. They are saying that they will most likely want to get her out at the 37-38 week mark since she isn't growing great on the inside. She will grow better on the outside when she is getting nutrition directly from me, instead of through my umbilical cord. They were saying she weighed around 4 lbs. a little over a week ago, so....in two more weeks from now, we are guessing maybe 5 lbs. This is almost half the size Carson was (8.1). Maybe this will make delivery MUCH quicker! So, needless to say, I am super excited to meet her earlier and know that if that's what they decide to do, it will be best for her (and of course me since I am SUPER uncomfortable these days). Good thing is, she is head down still so, hopefully we won't be having a c-section!
